Artikel 92 laat de Commissie stoppen met lezen en beginnen met testen: waar papierwerk niet volstaat, kan het AI-bureau een AI-model voor algemeen gebruik rechtstreeks evalueren — inclusief modeltoegang en onafhankelijke deskundigen.

- De Commissie kan een GPAI-model evalueren wanneer de artikel 91-informatie ontoereikend is, of na een gekwalificeerde waarschuwing van het wetenschappelijk panel krachtens artikel 90
- Evaluaties kunnen onafhankelijke deskundigen betrekken, ook uit het wetenschappelijk panel
- De Commissie kan toegang tot het model vragen via API's of andere passende technische middelen, broncode inbegrepen; een hier vastgestelde ernstige en gegronde zorg is de uitdrukkelijke voorwaarde voor maatregelen krachtens artikel 93
Nalevingstijdlijn
Van toepassing vanaf 2 augustus 2026; de Digitale Omnibus van 2026 stelde de materiële hoogrisicoverplichtingen uit (bijlage III naar 2 december 2027, bijlage I naar 2 augustus 2028) maar verplaatste deze bepaling niet.
