Artikel 56 belast het AI-bureau met het faciliteren van praktijkcodes — het instrument dat de GPAI-verplichtingen van de artikelen 53 en 55 vertaalt naar concrete praktijk. Zolang er geen geharmoniseerde normen bestaan, is aansluiting bij een code de praktische manier om naleving aan te tonen.

Nalevingstijdlijn
Van toepassing sinds 2 augustus 2025, samen met de rest van het GPAI-kader; de Digitale Omnibus van 2026 heeft deze datum niet gewijzigd.
