L'articolo 56 affida all'Ufficio per l'IA la facilitazione dei codici di buone pratiche — lo strumento che traduce gli obblighi GPAI degli articoli 53 e 55 in pratica concreta. Finché non esistono norme armonizzate, aderire a un codice è la via pratica per dimostrare la conformità.

- L'Ufficio per l'IA facilita codici che coprono almeno i doveri degli articoli 53 e 55: documentazione, informazione a valle, diritto d'autore, attenuazione del rischio sistemico
- I codici dovevano essere pronti al più tardi entro il 2 maggio 2025, elaborati con fornitori, autorità e portatori di interessi
- La Commissione può approvare un codice e dargli validità generale nell'Unione con atto di esecuzione — o stabilire regole comuni se nessun codice adeguato va in porto

Applicabile dal 2 agosto 2025, insieme al resto del quadro GPAI; l'Omnibus digitale del 2026 non ha modificato questa data.
