Cuando las instituciones, órganos u organismos de la Unión infringen el Reglamento de IA, el Supervisor Europeo de Protección de Datos sostiene el bolígrafo sancionador — a escala deliberadamente menor.

- El SEPD puede imponer multas administrativas a las instituciones, órganos y organismos de la Unión dentro del ámbito del Reglamento
- Topes: hasta 1 500 000 € por violaciones de las prohibiciones del artículo 5; hasta 750 000 € por otros incumplimientos
- Las multas siguen los criterios clásicos — naturaleza, gravedad, duración, cooperación, constataciones previas — con derecho a ser oído, competencia del Tribunal de Justicia y producto destinado al presupuesto de la Unión
Calendario de cumplimiento
Aplicable desde el 2 de agosto de 2025, junto con el resto del marco GPAI; el Ómnibus Digital de 2026 no modificó esta fecha.
