Článok 52 — úradne nazvaný jednoducho „Postup“ — upravuje, ako sa model AI na všeobecné účely formálne stáva modelom so systémovým rizikom, alebo ako to napáda. Je administratívnym kĺbom medzi kritériami článku 51 a povinnosťami článku 55.

- Oznámiť Komisii bezodkladne, najneskôr do dvoch týždňov od splnenia podmienky článku 51 (domnienka od 10²⁵ FLOPs)
- Poskytovateľ môže tvrdiť, že model napriek prahu nepredstavuje systémové riziko; Komisia môže argumenty odmietnuť a model určiť, aj z úradnej moci
- Komisia zverejňuje zoznam určených modelov; na odôvodnenú žiadosť je možné prehodnotenie
Harmonogram súladu
Uplatňuje sa od 2. augusta 2025 spolu so zvyškom rámca GPAI; digitálny omnibus 2026 tento dátum nezmenil.
