Článok 88 rozhoduje, kto stráži modely AI na všeobecné účely: výlučne Komisia, konajúca prostredníctvom Úradu pre AI. Vnútroštátne orgány dohliadajú na systémy AI; pri modeloch pod nimi je presadzovanie centralizované v Bruseli.

Harmonogram súladu
Uplatňuje sa od 2. augusta 2026; digitálny omnibus 2026 odložil hmotnoprávne vysokorizikové povinnosti (prílohu III na 2. decembra 2027, prílohu I na 2. augusta 2028), ale toto ustanovenie neposunul.
