L'articolo 91 è il primo piolo della scala di esecuzione GPAI della Commissione: il potere di esigere le carte. La documentazione tecnica degli articoli 53 e 55 esiste per essere producibile — questa disposizione chiama il bluff.

- La Commissione può richiedere a un fornitore GPAI la documentazione redatta ai sensi degli articoli 53 e 55, o ogni informazione aggiuntiva necessaria a valutare la conformità al regolamento
- Anche il Consiglio per l'IA può, su richiesta motivata, invitare la Commissione ad attivare tale richiesta
- Le richieste fissano un termine; il fornitore — o il suo rappresentante autorizzato — deve fornire le informazioni, e risposte inesatte o incomplete sono autonomamente sanzionabili
Calendario di conformità
Si applica dal 2 agosto 2026; l'Omnibus digitale del 2026 ha rinviato gli obblighi sostanziali ad alto rischio (allegato III al 2 dicembre 2027, allegato I al 2 agosto 2028) ma non ha spostato questa disposizione.
